Does Princess Leia have a role during Star Wars Episode vii?

Princess Leia is an extremely important character featured in
Star Wars Episode Seven. After Star Wars Episode 6 Return of
the Jedi, Princess Leia was one of the key politicians, who
created the New Republic government. With the guidance of
Princess Leia, the Star Wars galaxy enjoyed peace and
prosperity not enjoyed by the common citizens since the
golden age of the Old Republic.

A few years after the events of Return of the Jedi, Princess
Leia married Han Solo and the two had many, many children.
Eventually Luke Skywalker invited Princess Leia to join the
new Jedi Order. Princess Leia accepted the offer from Luke
Skywalker and Princess Leia subsequently learned the ways of
the Force.
