Star Wars Episode 7 vii Seven 7th Seventh Episodes
Why is George Lucas taking a 16 (sixteen) year
break and vacation in between Star Wars Episode 3
Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode 7 The
Hidden Circle?
George Lucas has many important reasons for taking
extended breaks after creating the third episode of
the newest Star Wars film trilogy.
First, it is tradition for Lucas to enjoy a 16 year
vacation after the cinematic theatrical multiplex
release of the final episode of each Star Wars movie
trilogy. Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace began
its run in theaters multiplexes movie houses about
sixteen years after Star Wars Episode 6 Return of the
Jedi was on the silver screen across the planet.
Similarly, Lucas plans a year 2021 debut for Star Wars
Episode 7 in cinemas theatres cineplexes approximately
sixteen years after Revenge of the Sith finished its
time in multiplexes film venues in 2005.
Second and more importantly, three Star Wars movie
episodes is about the maximum number of Star Wars films
that the loyal Star Wars fans are willing to pay to see
within a ten year period of time. If Lucas were to
continually release Star Wars motion pictures in cinemas
multiplexes, then massive burn out happens amongst the
fans as was evidenced by the Star Wars The Clone Wars
movie film being a colossal mega financial disaster at
the box office with very, very extremely tiny theater
cinema gross earnings.
Third and even more significant, Lucasfilm is a corporation,
which exists solely to maximize excessive profits. For this
reason, Lucasfilm has to carefully plan when to release new
Star Wars film trilogies in order to secure future streams of
revenues for Lucasfilm in the future. Lucasfilm is unable to
survive without the hope of additional Star Wars movie trilogies
in global theatres cinemas multiplexes. For its long term
survival, Lucasfilm has no real option, but to wait another
16 years for the next Star Wars film trilogy in multiplexes
across the planet.
Fourth, it is necessary for Lucas to wait once again for digital
computer animated special effects technology to catch up with the
unparalleled mind bending action sequences and battle scenes Lucas
has created and carefully planned for Star Wars Episode 7. The
special effects shots needed for Star Wars 7 are so shockingly
complex and detailed that it is impossible for current near photo
realistic computer animation to capture the vision Lucas has for
Star Wars Seven in his mega genius creative mind.
Star Wars Episode 7 features extremely large scale battle sequences
involving countless hundreds and hundreds of Jedi vs. Dark Jedi in
overly stunning light saber duels far beyond belief. It will be
impossible to produce these action sequences with today's relatively
primitive special effects abilities. Lucas believes the digital
computer special effects techniques of the year 2019 will be powerful
enough to capture his full ingenious vision with absolutely no artistic
compromises or restrictions. The golden age of Star Wars approaches.
